Kelp is a source of 12 natural vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, D, E, etc.) and essential amino acids. Kelp contains several dozens of macro- and microelements necessary for a person (iron, sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, sulfur, barium, etc.), and in the most accessible form for assimilation. And the most important thing is that Kelp contains a lot of iodine. It is known that brown algae are the best natural source of this chemical element.
The daily requirement for iodine is small and amounts to micrograms (mcg). Iodine belongs to microelements. However, the importance of iodine for human health is enormous! The main role of iodine in the human body is the synthesis of thyroid hormones, the work of which affects hormone balance, metabolism, immune system and the functioning of many other body systems. Not only a person’s physical condition, but also his mental abilities depend on the level of hormones.
According to WHO, more than 2 billion people worldwide live with iodine deficiency. In the Russian Federation 100 million people live in regions with natural iodine deficiency, and iodine intake is 40-80 mkg/day with the average rate of 150 mkg. Supplement Kelp (brown algae) can help to remedy iodine deficiency.
